"It's my birthday.... it's my birthday.... yep!
I'm turning the big " 50" today!
Age is just a number, right? Isn't that what they say?
I remember thinking my mom was "old" when she turned the same age; it's amazing how your perspective changes.
I'm okay with this number. I may not have accomplished all the things I thought I would have under my belt by now, but that's why they are called "goals." I will keep adding to my list and working on my "to do's."
So on this special day, I am sharing the wonderful swap gift I recently received from my new blog friend, Gretchen. We both participated in Amy's Birthday Treasury Swap and had to create a birthday-themed shadowbox for each other.
This is my lovely box...
It's a birthday tea party!
Gretchen even made a special invitation...
isn't it sweet?
I also have presents!
The box is packed with tiny details... flowers, butterflies... and this delightful little tea set! These are some of the teeniest tea cups I have ever seen!
Thank you, dear Gretchen! I'm delighted to have my very own birthday treasury shadowbox just in time to celebrate my July 19th b-day!
I will treasure it always.
(I'm joining the Teacup Tuesday party over at Artful Affirmations and sharing my teeny tea cups.)

Ooops! I so meant to say more!
Happy birthday! 50 is a fabulous year. Many blessings to you all year long!
Hugs,
Terri

What a darling shadow box. I collect miniature tea cups, so this really caught my eye. Happy, happy birthday. I'm with you, I thought my mother was really old at this age, and here I am 58. The 50's are a new season. I have learned to love more, appreciate more, and that I don't have to make my bed everyday!! Enjoy, hang on and love the glorious ride you're about to take!!

That is incredible. I am wondering if that was a part of Amy Power's birthday swap. I am pretty new to this world of tea cups but I am loving it! I have been snooping around in my mil's things and posted some of the things I love the most. I would love to have you visit, if you have time!
Fondly, Suz
