Each season, the Marie Antoinette Mail Art Group has a handmade "flower swap" where each participant sends/receives five flowers.
The rules are simple:
make your flowers in the color(s) of the season,
use beautiful fabrics and/or ribbons.
This being my second season with the group, it was also my second flower swap. I was, once again, blown away by the gorgeous flowers my swap friends made. Each one as unique as its creator.... they came in all different textures, colors, forms.
Would you like to see them?
beautiful white, scrunched....from Kelly
sweet, delicate pink....from Melanie
from Terri (our swap hostess)
vintage-inspired laces and tatting...from Jody
taupe, tattered loveliness... from Lorraine
So you see why I drooled when I opened the package? Seeing all five at once was a bit much... but I loved every second of it!
Inspired by the wonderful hues of pink found on seashells, my flowers for the swap were tiny roses made with silk ribbon.
Each swap partner also received a seashell with their rose.
I've already signed up for the fall flower swap and can't wait to see what everyone makes next time around!
Hope you are having a beautiful summer weekend.
