I was looking for something beautiful and pink to post for today's Pink Saturday party... of course, I ended up wanting to post pink roses and Limoges china. I wondered worried about it being dull, boring, and a bit overdone; I've enjoyed so many Pink Saturday posts about roses and china! But then I realized that the key word here was "enjoyed" -- I loved every single one of those posts and drooled over many of the pics. After all, isn't that what P.S. is all about; celebrating our love of pink?
So here we are, stuck with another "Roses & China" post for your enjoyment!
These roses were purchased almost a week ago and they are still blooming beautifully! I specifically chose them in this brighter hue because I wanted to put them in my new (old) aquamarine pitcher (long story on this one, but let me just say that I scored BIG at the Thrift Shoppe again!).
I played around with moving the pitcher to different areas in my house, different lighting (the photos were all taken at night)....
I love playing with Picasa Photo Editor and "fading" the colors a bit.
...the creamer set is Limoges (my favorite of all china), which I purchased about 20 years ago for nearly nothing.... the plate in the background is made in France (no other markings) and I fell in instant love with the very soft pink of the plate itself.
Only one more (I promise)....
HAPPY PINK SATURDAY!
P.S. Are you ready for Thanksgiving? I'm not! ...So much to do...
That aquamarine pitcher is beautiful! Love all of the roses and china, I have a thing for floral china it's so grandma like and pretty. It reminds me of having tea with our elderly neighbor when I was a little girl, so sweet. Thank you for stopping by and leaving your sweet comment, it means so much to me! Theresa xoox
