I was recently digging through my stash of vintage greeting cards and postcards looking for some Christmas inspiration... when I found these dove and white-feathered birds featured in cards for just about every occasion (birthdays, get-wells, to weddings and Easter).
As I started to make my little "pile" of dove cards, I realized I was (once again) crying... not a sad cry, more of a "my heart is full of love" cry. (As many of you know, my Bebe passed away recently, and at her grave site, a beautiful white dove was released to symbolize her flight into the heavens.)
So here, dear friends, are my doves for you today. May they bring you peace, love, and tranquility.
...oh, let us not forget the lovely Swan... full of beauty and grace.
Nor a dove, nor a swan, but couldn't resist throwing this one in...
Have the happiest of Wednesdays! I'm celebrating this day with the talented folks over at Faded Charm and linking up to their White Wednesday party.
P.S. I recently purchased (49 cents!) this bag full of beautiful yarns (even some angora!) in whites, creams, ecrus.... any ideas of something I can use them for that DOES NOT require knitting? Would love to hear your creative ideas!
Hi Mercedes, Loving all your beautiful dove cards. I found vintage sugared doves (old Christmas decor) which I used on my memory trees. And speaking of Memory Trees there is an article about them in the new French e-magazine named Belle Inspiration, of which you are the WINNER! It's blogged about on my Give Thanks post that just went up. Congratulations. If you could just let me know your email I will have Mimi start sending you your subscription. xoxo
