Wow! I can tell that the school year has started because it has been 12 days since my last post... after a full day of dealing with Kindergarten and Special Ed children, my brain and body are totally exhausted when I get home. Most days, I have neither the energy nor the inspiration to create much of anything. If, by chance, I do feel a bit of a creative burst, I immediately head to the Sunshine Room... but quite frankly, most times my projects get put aside because I hit a mental creative block.
The good news is that this exhaustion only last a few weeks; until I get back in the full swing of things and life goes back to "normal." At times I will get quite anxious when I glance at my swap logbook and realize how many due dates are creeping up... let's see... between now and October 31st I have fifteen swaps; most of them requiring multiple items. Yikes!
Halloween season will mark my 2nd anniversary of swappping... I've come a long way from my very first swap; worrying about every detail, was it good enough, would she like it, did I include enough "extra" goodies, etc... Oh wait! Those are all the same things I STILL think about every time! lol Seriously though, I absolutely love my swaps and all the creativity that changes hands. My creative and artistic horizons have greatly expanded during the past two years and I can't imagine my life without swaps.
Okay, enough of that.
Time to share some wonderful art that has recently reached my doorstep.
The very talented Karla was my partner for the September tag-a-month swap being hosted by Tee at The Altered Paper.
This is the autumn-themed tag she made for me...
...she is the most lovely autumn fairy... with gorgeous colors.
(Note the little fall leaf she's holding?)
I also received this sweet little fairy book ... along with some delicious fall tea and the loveliest of pink stationery.
...and this is the tag I sent Karla. It is titled "leaves a-tumbling."
Remember the fairy mermaid wand swap I posted about here? Well, this is the fairy wand I received today from my swap partner, Susan.
She also made this divine tag...
I have lots of other photos to share with you shortly... just need to get organized and caught up (2 more out the door by Friday).
Hope you are having a wonderful week! ,,,,
