Earlier this week, I was in "baby" mode...
One project was a cufflet for a mommy-to-be to wear for her Baby Shower. She is expecting twins - a boy and a girl - and they wanted something in soft pastels.
I love how it turned out!
I was so inspired by the color palette, that I made another cufflet "Valerie" using soft pinks and greens.
..there is something about the crispness of eyelet...looks gorgeous with the cotton candy colors on this cufflet.
"Valerie" is available in my Etsy shoppe.
From cufflets, I moved on to altering some of the old, tattered and frayed ballerina slippers I've been hoarding.
the tiniest of flowers.... some antique rhinestones...
Sweet pieces of antique lace are just what it needs!
(this darling has already found a new home)
I wasn't done with shoes for the day... I then started another project which I'd been wanting to tackle for a while.
I'd been admiring (okay, more like drooling over) some of the "Marie" style shoes on Pinterest and on blogs. I wanted some Marie shoes of my very own!
But I think I'll start off slowly...with a pair of ugly brown backless shoes...a couple coats of ghesso, some vintage lace...
They are looking better already!
The silk ribbon rosette is my inspiration piece... stay tuned for the finished project.
All your projects are lovely. I'm sure the mom-to-be was thrilled with the cufflet!
